VIP.LEAN Advanced Links turns Jira links into something people work with rather than around: a field that offers the right issues, a panel that shows the related ones as a table, and buttons that create the next issue already linked.

Pick an issue in the field and the link appears in the panel below, with the columns you configured.
Jira can link two issues. What it cannot do is offer the right ones, show them usefully, or create them for you. That is the gap this app fills.
A custom field that lists issues, optionally narrowed by JQL. Single or multiple selection, on create, edit and transition screens.
Choose the link type and direction once. Picking an issue creates the link; with sync switched on, a link changed by hand updates the field too.
Linked issues shown as a table on the issue view, with up to ten columns in the order you choose. Optionally in board and filter detail views as well.
A button on the issue view that opens a create screen for a defined target project and work type, and links the result back automatically.
Copy a value from the source issue, pass its key, or set a fixed string — and hide the fields nobody should have to answer, even required ones.
A Data Center app installed in your own Jira. Nothing is sent to our servers, and nothing leaves your network.
One configuration panel for all three features, reachable from Manage apps or from Jira's own custom field screen.

Atlassian is retiring Data Center. Sales of new Data Center subscriptions and Marketplace apps ended for new customers in March 2026, and Data Center products reach end of life on 28 March 2029, when the licences and the app licences that go with them expire. The dates come from Atlassian, not from us.
This app ends with the platform it was built for. Until then it stays available and supported for existing customers, and it keeps working on current Jira releases.
Its three features live on as separate Cloud apps, each able to go further than it could as a third of a bundle.
The documentation covers installation, picker fields, related issues panels and the create buttons. For anything it does not answer, the support portal is open as usual.
